This Roller Coaster Called Life

I have had a crazy past week... Biloxi was awesome... More to come on that later... once I have time. Probably Friday or Saturday. But I must say the more important stuff first.

Kim passed away last Thursday afternoon and was laid to rest on Sunday. I was able to make it up to her funeral on Sunday afternoon in Cornelia, Ga, but am still having a difficult time with it. Kim and I were very close and I never was able to say good-bye. I still struggle with it daily.

As for other things, one of my friends whom I had just recently gotten close with was very upset with me tonight and I had a very difficult time talking to her. She seemed to want more out of what we have, and I don't know how to best go at things. From the top it all looks good, but after some thought, I think things are going too fast. That is life, but hopefully I will deal with that this weekend too. Don't get me wrong, I like the girl and she is very very sweet, just I need some more time to think.

On that line, another friend came to visit tonight that I had only met once before. It was pretty cool as she is on spring break here. Tonight was the only night though that she could escape her home as her boyfriend comes into town tomorrow. Which settles things there. It was good to talk and she gave some good advice and made things slightly clearer to me. Hopefully that will blossom into a good friendship.

Sorry about the personal rants, but my life has been a roller coaster, and part of the purpose for my blog is to find my calling. I don't know what it is, but hopefully I will find it. As for now... my calling is to sleep... (After night prayer of course)

More to come later... esp pics from Biloxi and stories... Plus clarifications on this past week and my interview with Roche Carolina this Friday.

Please pray for me as I go through this week.
Also, keep Kim and her family in your prayers, as well as my friend Alexis who lost both parents and her grandmother in less than 8 months and is now dealing with taking care of her younger siblings.

For your friend Alexis I suggest A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers. It was a Pulitzer Prize finalist about an orphan who lost his parents within two months of each other and then had to raise his 7 year old brother. If nothing else, it gives perspective.

I'm really sorry to hear about Kim and will pray for all involved. Her poor father must be ... I'll pray for him too.

As for you, oh searching one, I suggest you enjoy the roller coaster. It is an amazing thing to have so many feelings, and quickly. It sucks to have to dig through them, but all this will help you in your ineviable quest for self. Indulge yourself with time to feel every last inch of your feelings - I think you will thank yourself if you do. Much love and prayers are with you, hugs, ~Heather
